Chris and Sharon valuing a customer's pieces at a kitchen table, stand-in until a dedicated gold-party shoot is commissioned

Coffee, friends, and a kitchen table

Host a gold party at your home

Invite friends, family or neighbours over for a coffee. Chris and Sharon arrive with the valuation gear, value each guest's pieces privately, and pay on the spot for anyone who decides to sell.

How a gold party works

A relaxed way for friends to sell gold and silver in one visit, a social event with a useful by-product, not a sales event.

1

You invite who you like

Close friends, neighbours or family, the host's call. There is no minimum number of guests and no commitment to sell. Most parties happen on a weekend morning or a weekday afternoon.

2

We arrive with the gear

Calibrated scales, a jeweller’s loupe, professional gold-testing tools, and coffee plus a few nibbles for the host. We set up at the kitchen table and brief the room so everyone knows the steps.

3

Each guest gets a private valuation

Five to ten minutes per guest at the table, the others chat in the background. Each guest decides for themselves whether to sell. Cash or instant transfer, before we leave.

In your home, with people you trust

Why a gold party works

A hosted in-home valuation with multiple guests in the room. Low-pressure, conversational, and everyone who decides to sell is paid on the spot, per piece.

Anyone can host. Invite who you like. We will arrange a time that works for you, bring the gear and the coffee, and run each guest through a short private valuation at the kitchen table. There is no charge for the visit and nobody is asked to sell.

  • Coffee and nibbles, on us

We bring something for the kitchen table so you do not have to cater.

  • On-the-spot cash, per piece

Each guest is paid before we leave, cash or instant transfer, their choice.

  • Two named people running it

You meet Chris and Sharon, the same people every visit. Free in-home valuation for each guest, written receipt at the end, and we are happy to come back to a host who finds more pieces afterwards.

What guests should bring

A short list, set expectations without burying anyone in prep.

  • Any gold or silver jewellery, whole or broken
  • Coins or bullion, if they have it
  • Photo ID (driver's licence or passport) for anyone who decides to sell
  • A piece of paper, if they want to take their own notes

That is the whole list. No need to sort or polish anything beforehand, we do that at the table.

Aged care and community groups

The community-room variant

For retirement villages, aged-care facilities, church groups, women's groups and RSL clubs. Sharon takes the lead on these visits, with Dylan stepping in when Sharon is not available on the day.

We coordinate directly with the activities coordinator or group organiser. Each resident or member is valued privately at a corner of the table, the pace is unhurried (two hours rather than one), and we do not pressure anyone, ever. It is one of the reasons families across Adelaide trust us with long-time residents.

Real party stories

Quotes from hosts, suburb-tagged.

  • Top guy with top prices. Met him at a garage sale and was a little dubious at first but Chris exceeded expectations. We invited him back for a gold party for friends so they could cash in their unused bits and pieces to fund other things.

  • Had a fabulous experience with Chris today at a client's house, who is vision impaired. He was so professional, very good with my client and he was very happy with the price he received.
